Alright, I've been here for 13 years and Median household income is $57,417, which feels about average for the area. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Thanks for reading. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I'm a chef and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value housing market, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely pretty good and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (North) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in The Heights. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like craft beer.
