What Wailuku does better than anywhere else
First post here. Just moved here 7 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -Wailuku sits at 232.1 per 100K. Average temperature is around 74--F, so it's warm year-round. With a population of 15,754, Wailuku is a small town. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Close to nature
- Strong sense of community
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons:
- Cold winters
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Chain restaurants dominate
Am I overthinking this? The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to.
