What I wish I knew before living in Waimalu

Been meaning to ask this. I work in marketing and Average temperature is around 78--F, so it's warm year-round. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What are your go-to spots? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals
- The outdoor recreation scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..
