Should I move to Waimanalo Beach or stay in Chicago?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Homes are going for about $816,500 on average. With a population of 4,587, Waimanalo Beach is a small town. Rent is about $1,000/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 4.8%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Portland it's average.
