What's it really like living in Waipio Acres?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a college student here and You can expect to pay around $1,958 for rent here. Homes are going for about $602,600 on average. It's a a small town city with about 5,146 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Worth the trade-offs? Appreciate any input. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Portland it's challenging.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is improving in most areas.
