What Waipio does better than anywhere else

Hey folks, Poverty rate is 5.7%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,248/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Let me know your thoughts. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Highland area are decent. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 12 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
