Hello, I'm originally from Orlando and It's a a smaller city city with about 51,199 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Wake Forest sits at 52.0 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Does this match your experience? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Moved here from San Diego about 6 years ago. it was the best decision I ever made. Still getting used to outdoor recreation but Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Uptown area are pretty good. Kids love it here.
