Living in Waldoboro -the reality

Alright, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and It's a a small town city with about 1,487 people. Average temperature is around 46--F, so expect cold winters. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Pros:
- Good schools
- Lots of new development
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Hot summers
- Sprawl everywhere
- Mosquitoes and humidity
Let me know your thoughts. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Used to live on the North side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.

I've lived in North for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The weather scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
