Not sure if this has been asked before, but The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. With a population of 82,541, Waldorf is a smaller city. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Does this match your experience? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is excellent in most areas.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
