The good and bad of living in Waldorf

OK so Homes are going for about $383,100 on average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Thanks! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely average and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Downtown) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The healthcare is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..
