Commute times in Walker -how bad?

First post here. I'm a remote worker and Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Does this match your experience?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Uptown. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in construction. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
