Housing market in Walker right now

Anyone else feel this way? Homes are going for about $266,400 on average. With a population of 25,201, Walker is a smaller city. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Is this normal for Walker?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Fairview. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
