Median household income is $74,200, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 4.7%, which is about average. Household incomes average around $74,200 in Walker Mill. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Does this match your experience? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is solid in most areas.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Fairview) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Westside for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- The dating scene scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.
