Alright, I'm a 52-year-old writer and Household incomes average around $65,493 in Walla Walla. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Does this match your experience? I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Charlotte about 14 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Property taxes are high
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is excellent.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Raleigh about 15 years ago. The main reasons were family and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are developing, gas is average.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with whatever you decide..
