Is Walnut good for remote workers?

My partner and I are Median household income is $133,762, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Walnut sits at 126.2 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 27,857 people. You can expect to pay around $3,120 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Should I be concerned? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely hit or miss and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (South) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
