Best neighborhoods in Walnut

First post here. I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $844/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $844 for rent here. Household incomes average around $65,278 in Walnut. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Friendly people
- Close to nature
- Easy commute
- Lots of new development

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Homelessness issues downtown
Let me know your thoughts. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Cedar Grove. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

No regrets on my end..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Definitely worth checking out..
