OK so Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Let me know your thoughts.

I've lived in Westside for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Active local events and festivals
- The dating scene scene is average

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Downtown area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Came here for retirement and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor recreation is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the Uptown side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Springfield. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
