Is Walters good for remote workers?

Curious what people think. I'm retired and Rent is about $699/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 2,173 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Would love some local perspective.
