Waltham in the winter -how bad?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Been living here since 2015. It's a a smaller city city with about 64,723 people. Rent is about $2,232/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $705,700, which is pretty steep. With a population of 64,723, Waltham is a smaller city. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I've lived in Springfield for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights
- The outdoor recreation scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. No regrets on my end..

I'm a real estate agent and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is average and there's always something going on.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The cultural scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
