First time home buyer in Wantagh

Been living here since 2021. The median home value here is around $665,700, which is pretty steep. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Worth the trade-offs? The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The public transit is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.
