Hello, Just moved here 3 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -Warren sits at 426.0 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Any help is appreciated.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Raleigh about 15 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is average.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Sunset for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The traffic scene is tough
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Urban sprawl is real
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 9 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..
