Hey folks, Crime rate is something to consider -Warren sits at 557.7 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I overthinking this? The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
