Warren in the winter -how bad?

Longtime lurker here, It's a a smaller city city with about 39,057 people. Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $80,100 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Thoughts? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The housing market is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
