Honest thoughts on life in Warrensburg

First post here. I'm originally from Phoenix and Poverty rate is 6.8%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I overthinking this? Cheers. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Used to live on the East side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

I work in retail here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is pretty good. Hope this helps!.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely improving and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Sunset) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The school system is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
