So, I grew up here but left for a while. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. With a population of 19,437, Warrensburg is a small town. The median home value here is around $216,900, which is actually reasonable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What are your go-to spots? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I work in hospitality here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is hit or miss. No regrets on my end..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Midtown for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Diverse dining options
- The safety scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a contractor, 57, moved here 7 years ago from San Diego. I've lived in South and Westside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Four distinct seasons
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally decent - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Can feel isolated
2. Limited shopping options
3. The job market situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- South: Great for singles. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Westside: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Diego, everything felt better than expected. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $50K-$80K here.
**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
