Job market in Warrenton for tech?

You can expect to pay around $1,512 for rent here. Median household income is $80,441, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Warrenton sits at 140.3 per 100K. With a population of 10,151, Warrenton is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What are your go-to spots? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Charlotte about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
