Warrenville quality of life -am I missing something?

First post here. My family moved here when I was a kid. Household incomes average around $99,028 in Warrenville. With a population of 14,232, Warrenville is a small town. Median household income is $99,028, which feels pretty solid for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Does this match your experience? Thanks! Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Fairview) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from LA, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely underrated and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Downtown) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.
