Is Warwick worth it salary-wise?

Random thought, Just moved here 5 months ago and You can expect to pay around $1,299 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Is this normal for Warwick? Appreciate any input. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely hit or miss and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
