Pros and cons of Warwick after 4 years

First post here. My family moved here when I was a kid. It's a a smaller city city with about 82,871 people. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What do you all think? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in The Heights. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in real estate. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Westside area are solid. Kids love it here.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a teacher, 50, moved here 3 years ago from Denver. I've lived in Pine Hills and Fairview, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited entertainment options
2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The school system situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Pine Hills: Great for young professionals. average vibes, walkable.
- Fairview: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Denver, everything felt solid. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is reasonable. You can live comfortably on $90K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Happy to answer more specific questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
