Washington job market vs San Francisco

Hey folks, My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $724,600, which is pretty steep. Household incomes average around $106,287 in Washington. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 5 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
