Planning a move to Washington -neighborhoods?

Hey folks, My partner and I are With a population of 7,314, Washington is a small town. The median home value here is around $144,500, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 7,314 people. Household incomes average around $56,536 in Washington. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Any advice would be great. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 5 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
