Top 5 things I love about Washington

Hey, I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a small town city with about 14,948 people. Median household income is $78,510, which feels about average for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely challenging and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Eastside) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
