Considering Washington vs Raleigh -help me decide

Hi all, We have two kids and Median household income is $52,350, which feels on the lower side for the area. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What are your go-to spots?

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor recreation is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..
