Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Cedar Grove for 10 years. Moved from Boston for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
tech is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is improving - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Road conditions need improvement. And public transit can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 5/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in West area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 14 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from San Francisco about 2 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are stable, gas is challenging.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
