How is Washington for outdoor activities?

Hey everyone, I'm a college student here and Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a smaller city city with about 30,686 people. Rent is about $1,581/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I overthinking this? The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in East for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The community vibe scene is decent

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Close to major attractions
- The job market scene is tough

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.
