Is Washingtonville worth it salary-wise?

Alright, I'm a 37-year-old graphic designer and It's a a small town city with about 5,723 people. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $344,200, which seems about average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs? The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Springfield. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in finance. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

No regrets on my end..
