Median household income is $100,916, which feels pretty solid for the area. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Is this normal for Washougal? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great Asian places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The job market is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Sunset for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
- The community vibe scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I'm a pharmacist and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.
