Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Salt Lake City it's hit or miss.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The cultural scene is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Came here for school and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The walkability is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I work in government here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is average. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 4 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
