Hey folks, Military spouse here. Average temperature is around 46--F, so expect cold winters. With a population of 66,947, Waterloo is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $150,200 on average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
