Life in Waterloo as a young professional

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We have two kids and Rent is about $896/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I'm a pharmacist and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.
