Watkins Glen job market vs Sacramento

Curious what people think. Homes are going for about $200,000 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Watkins Glen sits at 277.8 per 100K. The median home value here is around $200,000, which is actually reasonable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. What do you all think? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

The food scene here is decent. Tons of great craft beer places. I love the pace of life here.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
