Dog-friendly places in Watsonville?

Hi all, You can expect to pay around $1,784 for rent here. Homes are going for about $657,700 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What are your go-to spots? Cheers. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Used to live on the Pine Hills side, now on the Old Town side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Charlotte about 11 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are reasonable, gas is challenging.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2015 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Seattle about 1 years ago. The main reasons were school and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are stable, gas is improving.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'm a contractor and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is improving and there's always something going on.
