Hey everyone, Homes are going for about $657,700 on average. Median household income is $74,785, which feels about average for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The safety is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely underrated and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Midtown) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in The Heights. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in tech. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Mexican.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
