The food scene here is surprisingly good. Tons of great craft beer places. it's been a really good experience overall.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in North. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in government. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like Indian.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much reasonable but now it's surprisingly good.
