Been meaning to ask this. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Internet is excellent in most areas.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The dating scene is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Sunset for 2 years. Moved from Boston for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.
**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Sunset schools are hit or miss. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited shopping options. Bugs and humidity in summer. And job market can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 5/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Uptown area are improving. Kids love it here.

I'm a sales manager and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is tough and there's always something going on.
