Rent in Waverly getting crazy

I'm single, late 50s, and The median home value here is around $222,300, which is actually reasonable. The city has invested a lot in new development. Does this match your experience? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Seattle about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are reasonable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Good luck with whatever you decide..
