Studio apartments in Wayne -options?

I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 6.1%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $664,900, which is pretty steep. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Anyone in a similar situation? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The community vibe is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Lakewood. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in tech. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- The nightlife scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely average and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (South) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Springfield side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely decent and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Old Town) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.
