The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The dating scene is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 14 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much competitive but now it's excellent.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The healthcare is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Baltimore about 7 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Active local events and festivals
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 4 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into running, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
