What I wish I knew before living in Weatherford

Random thought, Median household income is $78,738, which feels about average for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Riverside area are average. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 5 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

I've lived in Highland for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The safety scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..
