Hello, Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 14.7%, which is around average. Crime rate is something to consider -Webb City sits at 91.1 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What do you all think? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The school system is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Westside. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Asian.
